Navarra Beef can be recognized by its low fat level and its colour, varying between pink, light pink and red. From the moment a calf registered in the PGI system is born until it reaches the butcher’s, a series of identification and monitoring processes take place, meaning that we can find out all the data on the meat we are consuming.
GEOGRAPHICAL AREA
The production zone for Ternera de Navarra / Nafarroako Aratxea (Navarra Beef) covers the entire Autonomous Region apart from the Bardenas Reales Nature Reserve.

BUYING GUIDE
PGI Navarra Beef can be bought from various types of establishment: sales points where it is butchered traditionally (butchers’ shops) and sales points where it is ready-packaged (supermarkets and hypermarkets). Either way, the meat will be duly labelled with the PGI logo and a numbered back label provided by the Regulating Council.
