The characteristic features of Artisan Foods are the top quality of the raw materials used to prepare them and the fact that they are prepared as naturally as possible; that the process used to prepare them respects or mimics natural processes; and that the use of additives, colourings, and so forth, used to simulate the natural raw material or increase shelf life etc., at the cost of product quality, is restricted.

Among the Artisan Foods of Navarra we can find: jams, fruit and vegetable conserves, cider, liqueurs and firewaters, marinaded products, products in brine, cheeses, curd cheeses, junkets, honey, pates, biscuits, bread, patisserie, ice creams, ready-cooked dishes, fish conserves, and virgin extra olive oil. They all share the logo of Alimentos Artesanos de Navarra (Navarra Artisan Food), to indicate that they meet the Regulatory Rules for Artisan Agrofood.
TIP: Artisan Foods can be purchased direct from where they are made, at fairs and markets, in specialized shops or delicatessens, and in supermarkets.
